SHARE THE LIGHT PARTNERS
"As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor--this is the gift of God." Ecclesiastes 5:19
These days, “wealth” is receiving much attention.  In Ecclesiastes, we are reminded that all our wealth, whether it is in the form of health, money, material possessions, family, friends, time or talent- comes from God.  He gives it to us to use for His glory. What a better way to glorify God than to become a Share the Light Partner with the Orthodox Christian Network? Share the Light Partners donate a gift of $1,000 or more during the course of the year.  Won't you join the 40 faithful who have already partnered with us to bring God's word to the world?  This is one small way that you can thank God for the wealth that He has blessed you with.
Our goal is to have 60-70 “Share the Light Partner” supporters by the end of the summer and at least 100 by the end of the year.  God may even bless us with more!  He has been known to work wonders for all of us.  Remember that in God’s eyes, it isn’t the amount of wealth that we accumulate that is important, but rather it is the amount that we give that is important.

THIS WEEK’S PODCASTS
This week on Theologically Thinking, Fr. Christopher Metropolus reflects upon a reading from the Gospel of Mark 16:1-8. When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?" In this week's episode of Special Moments in Orthodoxy, Fr. David Smith continues his new series on the Book of Romans. Join Fr. David as he investigates Paul’s letter to the Romans, what it meant for the original recipients  and what it says to today’s reader.

Pascha Appeal
On Sunday, we joined our voices and sang “Hosanna,” throwing down our palm branches before our triumphant Lord. I was blessed to see so many cheerful faces in our Church, rejoicing in the familiar words and the excitement of the day.
Yet, in just a few short hours, we will hear different familiar words.  “Give us Barabbas!” “Crucify Him!”  So quickly our hearts turn.  So quickly we find ourselves engaging in the same sins which led to the crucifixion.  Pascha is coming, but we must first journey through the dark valley of Holy Week.
OCN exists to inspire the faithful, bringing teaching and encouragement as we journey, not just through the Paschal season, but through life itself.  Right now, people are visiting myocn.net for Holy Week resources, inspiring music and thought-provoking teaching.
As we spend these last days before Pascha in prayer and fasting and alms giving, know that the inspiration and encouragement we all need is available through OCN. Your donation today of $25, $50 or $100 will help us inspire faithful Orthodox Christians, and it only takes a moment if you click here.
