On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis focuses on the subject of earthly, which arises in the story of what Jesus said when asked about it by two of His disciples and their mother. Obviously they hadn't by that time realized who He was. The Holy Spirit would visit them later on. Until then, our Lord found the opportunity to teach them the importance of the greatest spiritual values that overcome, and at the same time enrich, this temporary world of ours. This program illustrates that wonderful teaching.
On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis discusses the way parents should approach their children and guide them to Jesus: just like the father with his son who was possessed by an evil spirit did, according to Mark 9:14. Jesus said, "Bring the boy to me." Now, this is what parents of all times ought to do with their children. Bring them to the Lord. In this program, we will discuss effective ways to do this.
On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis focuses on the Cross of the Lord as this Sunday we are seeking strength from it. We need encouragement in our spiritual battle against our passions and the Holy Cross can offer it to us. Another point to be discussed in this program is about losing our lives in order to save them, as Jesus said. What does He mean and how can this affect our lives today?
On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis discusses the concepts of health and sickness as they are being revealed by the story of the paralytic and his four friends. What is the source of the sickness? How can we be healed? Is the love of our friends helpful? Join Dimitris as he tries to answer these questions with the help of the Bible and the wisdom of the Holy Fathers.
On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis discusses the essential role of icons in our faith. After the long troubled times in which there were conflicts about the icons, the Seventh Ecumenical Council decreed the restoration of icons for use in services and the private devotional life of Christians. Join us as we discuss this topic.
On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis discusses the three crucial points of the Sunday of Forgiveness. First, the forgiveness itself is a gift from God to us all, and as such should be offered to our fellow humans. The second point is the true meaning of Lent, because this definition will clarify our understanding and assist us in our efforts from now on to meet our risen Lord. The final point concerns our attitude toward material possessions, we seek to find our heart to locate our treasure.
On CRTL Greek, Dimitris Karavasilis discusses matters that stem from the parable of the Final Judgement. For example: What is Heaven? What are the criteria for people to enter Heaven? What is Hell? Is there such a thing? What are the characteristics of this condition? Is Jesus still among us? Can we meet Him? How can we recognize Him? Does God punish us if we do something wrong? Is the chance of repentance eternal? Join Dimitris to seek for some insight on these matters.
