Letting our light shine is what Come Receive the Light radio program and the Orthodox Christian Network are all about. For too long, we Orthodox Christians have been missing from the great religious landscape in America. We have something precious to offer this society, and, even more importantly, we have a great deal to offer you, your children and your family.
That’s why I started Orthodox Christian Network and began producing a weekly radio program. What started out as a local radio ministry to the home-bound has grown into an official agency of SCOBA and an international media ministry that is reaching people for Christ all over the world on a DAILY basis. We are letting our light shine like never before.
Let’s face it: There’s never been a time when a ministry like this has been so necessary. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the average American spends more time watching TV, listening to the radio, surfing the Internet and reading newspapers than ANYTHING ELSE, except breathing! Many Christian Churches have recognized this trend and invested heavily in media outreach. It’s clearly the best way to engage our society, reach out to our youth, and strengthen our families and parishes ― and that’s why we’ve been so successful in spreading the joyful, Christ-centered message of the Orthodox Church through modern media. We’re now on the radio, the Internet, DVD’s, podcasts, television and more.
But top-quality programming doesn’t come for free. That’s why we need your help!
