Ft. Lauderdale (September 13, 2007) – Orthodox Christian Network is
honored to announce our first international release of our weekly radio
program, Come Receive The Light.
Starting Sunday September 16th Come Receive The Light
will air in Nassau, BAHAMAS, on Joy 101.9 FM every Sunday at 6 PM. We
are able to have this very first international release of our weekly
program because of the generous gifts of several families in the
Bahamas who have worked hard to bring our weekly witness to our
precious Orthodox faith to their country.
We are also thrilled to add another national release of the program in
Springfield, Vermont, Sunday mornings at 8 AM on WCFR 1480 AM. This is
another local parish that has worked with us to bring the program to
their local community.
Fr. Chris Metropulos, founder and director of OCN said, "These two new
releases of our weekly program demonstrate the future and the growth of
our media witness for the Church. With our first international release
in the Bahamas and a new release in Springfield, Vermont, we are
continuing the ministry of using media to pull back the curtain on the
rich beauty of Orthodoxy for America and the world."
For more information on how your parish can bring Come Receive The Light to your local community call 877-273-2348.
Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) is an agency of SCOBA, the
Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas, and
develops effective ways to use modern media to raise awareness of our
Orthodox faith in the minds of the general population and to be an
"assistant" to local parish priests in keeping our faithful attached to
the Church between worship services. OCN produces the nationally
syndicated radio program Come Receive The Light and the 24 hour
internet based radio ministries of The Ark and The Rudder. For more
