Thank you Father! written by gchancy,

Thanks to Father Chris for bringing up the issue of Sarah Palin's family responsibilities. It is a necessary conversation to have, and one that is missing from purely political blogs. The 'Just Thinking' series is consistently the best Orthodox program about current events. I think that Rod's response to Father's questions was somewhat weak, but I think that was because he was actually trying to argue against what he knows to be right.
Great program!

Family First written by Jacob Lee,

Fr. Chris,
Thanks for bringing up the real issue with Sarah Palin. I don't know how everybody has missed that family needs to be first. I grew up a Protestant and watched as pastors abandoned their Children for the sake of Ministry. Palin has one child with a baby on the way, one with a reported drug addiction and a special needs baby. Our country needs parents who will be parents. More than a Palin Vice Presidency or Presidency, this country needs a parent who puts family first.
Sincerely,
Jacob Lee

Whew! written by Sue Kranz,

In an attempt to find a confirmation of my sanity, I googled and found this interview with Fr. Chris. Whew! I'm not crazy! As soon as I heard about Sarah Palin and her situations, I was concerned. After working with a special needs child and teaching autistic children in music, I could not imagine leaving my son and taking on the vice-presidency. That IS what will happen. She is very young - she has many years left. Her children will grow up and move out some day, and she will have plenty of time to devote to service to her country. For now, she needs to serve her family.
Great program!
