This program previews 12 of the 32 tracks from the CD entitled “Rejoice: Hymns to the Virgin Mary” (CD I-84) recorded by the St. Vladimir’s Seminary Chorale, under the direction of Deacon Kevin Smith. Just as the Seminary faculty and student body represent many different jurisdictions and nationalities (the singers on this CD there are from the Orthodox Church in America, the Antiochian Archdiocese, the Greek Archdiocese, the Serbian Orthodox Church, and the Orthodox Churces in France and Japan), so the selections on this CD are drawn from a multitude of musical styles, historical periods, and national origins, all adapted into English.
