The topic "God Pursues Us Every Day," covered on Come Receive the Light by Dr. Despina Prassas, reminds me of a statement by St. John Chrysostom.
St. John says, "Find Jesus at the door of your heart and you will discover paradise." This is the topic of a book published by Light and Life: Paradise on Your Doorstep . It is based on Rev. 3:20, "Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him and he with me." The theme of this book is how God in Christ is constantly knocking on the door of our heart seeking entrace. It describes how He knocks and how we may open the door to allow Him to take residence in us. WIth the shepherd's crook, shaped as a cross, He stalks the thickets of the world - seeking you and me.
