On Theologically Thinking, Fr. Athanasios Haros of Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church, Florence S.C. discusses the topic, "Repent and Change Your Point of View." Sometimes we have to really shake things up to get a different perspective on God and our journey toward salvation. The call of our Lord to repent is more than just a historical sermon by Jesus Christ. It is a call for us to evaluate our life and reorient our lives toward God. ******************

In 2012, all Orthodox Christians over the age of 18 will have the opportunity to nominate someone as their Hero. The Hero will be a layperson who has distinguished himself in Christian love and service to others. Nominations will begin on Share the Light Sunday, January 15th. Please announce this contest on January 15th and tell all your parishioners to nominate someone. The winner will receive a paid excursion and $500 given in their name to the charity of their choice. The winner will also be a special guest on Come Receive the Light.
