i really liked your sermon, Fr. David, on icons. your voice and message is loud and clear. your comparison of computer icons and our orthodox icons, very interesting. and the addition of the comparison to an empty icon (symbol), the stop sign, clears up the explanation of what is the purpose of an icon. i also believe in the orthodox icon as a window to Heaven, as you do, i'm sure. the Lord is wonderful that He gives us access to Heaven in that very real way. all we have to do is have faith like a child. my grandmother helen had faith like that, i thank God. thank u, Fr.
