Simeon the Theologian

This week, noted scholar Fr. John McGuckin discusses Simeon the Theologian. Simeon the New Theologian (949–1022) is one of only three saints of the Orthodox church to have been given the title of Theologian(the others are St. John the Apostle and St. Gregory Nazianzen.

Oppressed human being are, most of the times, of one's life. Even Orthodox Christians would not have realised that; the relief from oppression, is as readily available as; Simeon the Theologian was saying all through; since this jewel of his words was written down first. And Fr. John has profoundly detailed it, that just the listening to this piece of the Saint's words relieves one of negativity.
