Why is there one picture with clergy with no religious garb and then Bartholomew with religious garb? Also, is it true that clergy receive money from the Greek STATE?

Turkey has strict rules about clerical garb in public. Foreign clergy, I believe, are most restricted. Plus it is just not safe.

It is illegal for anyone other than the ecumenical patriarch to wear their robes in public. That is why you will see the rest of the clergy in nice suits.
