Wow, some of the pictures that have been posted are very troubling. I hope everyone is doing OK; after all, finding and re-burying human remains is not exactly part of your generic Orthodox “mission trip”. I’m praying for you all every day. Thanks to OCN for letting us take this “trip” with you….

Maybe I missed this somewhere, but is it possible to post more info on the cemetery? Such as when it was founded, is it still functioning, when the desecrations occurred, are they still occurring, etc.

And for our departed brothers and sisters (from the Commemoration of the Living and the Dead):

“Remember, Lord, all our departed fathers, brothers and sisters, the Orthodox Christians who lie here and everywhere in the hope of the Resurrection and eternal life. Grant them to live with Thy saints under the light of Thy countenance. Have mercy on us also, for Thou art good and lovest mankind. Amen.

Grant remission of sins, Lord, to all our fathers, brothers and sisters who have departed before us in faith and the hope of the Resurrection, and make their memory eternal. Amen.”
