Apocalypse is Revelation

I enjoyed this second-in-a-series of ipod MP3s. It's refreshing to hear such things re-established; like, the Book of Revelation was written to the First Century readers. One thing I've read from various Church Fathers, for example, Apringius of Beja, is that they understood apocalypse to simply mean revelation. It seems it's a current or modern connotation of tribulation and catastrophic destruction. By contrast, for example, Apringius writes concerning Rev. 1:1, From this we learn that this [book] is called an Apocalypse, that is, "revelation," which manifests those secrets...

I have started to listen to this series all over because of a letter send to me by an old school mate who I haven´t seen or heard for over 30 some years. In his 8 page letter he wrote that the end time scenario will start 2010-12 and the final date when the Lord will come is around 2030. So all these end time scenarios still go on.
