the protestant versions of the end times are so mainstream and it is quit easy to get caught up in their interpetations. I am thankful for the orthodox church and the proper perspective on the most mysterious book of the new testament. thank u

My wife and I started reading the Book of Revelation, and find it, without much surprise, to be very difficult to understand. Knowing that it is the most mystical of all the books in the New Testament, we were not surprised to learn that this book was the most difficult one for the whole Church to accept in ancient times.
Our current interest in and search for authoritative Orthodox sources about the Book of Revelation came from a recent discussion at our parish with friends who've become influenced by some "end-of-times" predictions made by a monk in Serbia. The first part of your lecture series already puts things in order before even delving into the matter! I'll certainly forward this podcast to our fellow parishioners.
Thank you for providing this information.

May I assure you that no everyone who fellowship in a protestant Christian tradition falls prey to every ministry that would assume to know the date or hour of the Lord's return. Scripture is very clear on the subject that no one will know the time of the end. I recognize that there are some who have engaged in this type of foolish prediction of something that even Christ Jesus said He did not know. I am hoping that we will learn to stop judging all Christians, who are part of the protestant tradition, on the basis of the behavior of a few. As a pastor and a teacher of Scripture I am also concerned about those who lead others astray with these predictions.
