OCN Welcomes Orthodox Life Today As a Featured Program
OCN News

OCN is proud to announce our partnership with Saints Constantine and Helen Church of Andover, MA to offer the Orthodox Life Today webcast.

Orthodox Life Today is a production of Saints Constantine and Helen Church of Andover, MA. Originally produced as a monthly local Cable TV & Webcast program, this first of its kind ministry is aimed at reaching out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ from an Orthodox perspective. Hosted by parish priest, Fr. Christopher Makiej and his wife Presvytera Katerina, the program is a relaxed talk show format, seeking to present Orthodox Christianity in a practical and relevant way. Both Fr. Christopher and Presvytera Katerina hold masters of theological studies from Holy Cross. The program will also include sermons, music and chant videos, and segments of liturgical services.

This program ministry advances the theme of the last year’s Greek Archdiocese Clergy Laity Congress, “Gather my people to my Home” (Deuteronomy 4:10) which called us to reach out by all means possible, especially to the un-churched of our world.

Archbishop Demetrios in his keynote address at the Clergy Laity said the following, "Every time that we are in our churches, in our beautiful parishes, let us think of those who are outside, known and unknown. Let us think of all others who wait to hear the voice of Christ. The voice of Christ invites them to gather in His home, to become His flock. But how can they hear the voice of Christ? We are the voice of Christ! My beloved people let such voice be heard outside of our Churches, calling the people of God to His home. Let us be the voice of Christ. Everywhere for everyone. At any time, at any place of the wide world of God."

Three segments on Pursuing our relationship with Christ are already available on OCN's Website. To view the segments, please click here.
