Princess Ileana (1909 - 1991) led a truly remarkable life. While remaining a faithful member of the Orthodox Church, she weathered turbulent times, married a non-Orthodox Christian because of royal obligation, raised six children, and, eventually, became the abbess of an Orthodox convent in the United States. Bev. Cooke, whose newest book is entitled Royal Monastic: Princess Ileana of Romania, discusses Ileana's life, struggles and witness.
